Specific enough Steve????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
So. Where to begin, where to begin........maybe.....the beginning??
I left BK4 at 4 am on Saturday morning to catch a 7 am flight to NY, which would land at JFK at around 3:30 in the afternoon. What was supposed to be a 5 hour flight, however, turned out to be one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. 13 hours. WASTED. (in the non-alcoholic sense of the word, though I wish it were otherwise.)
Some freak windrainstormthunderfuck crippled nyc on the saturday apparently, leaving my flight stranded in the air; we were diverted to Washington DC, where I sat in the same seat, on the same plane, on the ground for SEVEN hours...I thought that was illegal!!?!?!? but apparently not.
Those 7 hours were full of deep, philosophical thought and intense people watching. Here is a rough list of the interesting characters on my plane. Someday they will be part of a primetime sitcom, kinda like Seinfeld on a plane, only named Tilak.
-Trendy Korean group. (2 couples, 1 gay dude, and a chick who was clearly not wearing a bra{possibly making her trendier}.
-Audrey hepburne lookingass chick in leopard print jumpsuit and fuzzy black russian hat thing with Paris Hilton style chihuahua dog in pouch on stomach. Also black heels.
-3 hippies addicted to smoking, trying to convince everyone on the plane to mob the cockpit. lol. funny shit.(i joined these 3 for an hour 5 smoking sesh; got the flight attendants to open the front door. crazy people, crazy shit)
-Bitchy flight attendant.
-Fat chick
-Fat chick's skinny boyfriend.
-PDA couple. ew.
-Funny black people.
-Funny European people, speaking French, and begging for food.
-Gross little kids wiping boogers on seats...
There were a shit ton more but I'm getting bored with this segment of my blog lol. Anyways. After 13 hours on the plane they finally agreed to let us off to spend the night in DC. Luckily my dad happened to be in DC for a conference, so that was a slight saving grace to a shitty ass day.
LETSMAKEASANDWICH. So yeah, I got to meet up with my dad which was cool, and the next day I made it to NYC, where it was miserably cold and rainy :( I almost died of hypothermia and frostbite.
So first things first, the dorms at Columbia suck ass. Granted everyone gets a single, but the bathroom is nasty and the place is like falling apart. For people like me (and malia) who are somewhat of toilet conisseurs, things like the friction coefficient of toilet paper, height of the toilet from the ground, and general toilet stall atmosphere are critical in the defecating process.
I realize now that I would simply not be able to go here. The people are really cool, but, unfortunately, some of them have terrible B.O., which forces me to unfairly generalize about odor and Columbia's student body.
Otherwise I'm having a great time, lovin life in NYC, never coming back. I just enjoy riding the subway around and explorin to much, so much easier to get around. Plus i feel at home in the Bronx. Them iz my people. So comftable in tha hood.
And the food is fucking awesome. And free unlimited house wine at chinese restaurant fuck yeah.
besides the fact that its been like frigid and gloomy and shit; until today.....it warmed up to like 60 which made me feel more at home. Speaking of which, I'm pissed that I missed said 4.4 magnitude quake. Kevin Steen stop hyping it up I know it wasn't that great :O
I also got my friend from back home who has never drunk before WASTED. it was awesome.
okay.
that's it.
fishman i wanna see your puppy.
miss you all with all the love in my heart.
